The Nina Hagen Band was a German rock band formed in 1978 by lead vocalist Nina Hagen. The band's music was a mix of punk, new wave, and experimental rock, and their lyrics often touched on themes of social and political issues, as well as personal experiences. The band was known for their high-energy live performances and Hagen's powerful vocal range. Their self-titled debut album in 1978 was a commercial and critical success in Germany, and they gained popularity throughout Europe in the late 1970s and early 1980s. The band disbanded in 1979 after only releasing two albums, but Hagen has continued to have a successful solo career.
